# Create Device

The **"Create New Device"** function is utilized to add a device either to an existing device group or directly to the project. Upon clicking the **Create Device** button, a configuration interface is presented where the following steps should be assigned:

1. **Device Naming (Name\*)**: Assign a unique name to the device.
2. **Template Selection**: Optionally select a pre-configured template for the device, if available.
3. **Serial Number Entry (Serial Number\*)**: Enter the device's ID manually, or automatically via a QR code scan (available through the Settings Page for devices with a display, or via web interface or product label for all devices).
4. **Product Type Selection**: Choose the appropriate product type from the available options.
5. **Language Addition**: Specify any additional languages for the device configuration.
6. **Auto Update Activation**: If enabled, this feature allows the device to automatically retrieve its existing program after factory reset or get new updates.
